International partnership

EU mobility & solidarity programmes

Our international mobility tracks are developed in partnership with OeAD, Austria's national agency for two of the world's largest education, mobility, and volunteering programmes.

Erasmus+ is the EU programme promoting education, vocational training, youth, and sport. From 2021 to 2027, the European Union is providing €28.4 billion for exchanges within Europe and internationally. Erasmus+ focuses on cross-border mobility for people of all ages, collaboration in European projects, and support for policy reforms. The programme funds mobility and cooperation projects in areas such as schools (including early childhood care), vocational education and training, higher education, adult education, youth, and sport.

The European Solidarity Corps is a companion EU programme that funds solidarity projects and voluntary placements for young people aged 18 to 30, supporting communities across Europe and neighboring regions.

As the national agency for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps in Austria, the OeAD is responsible for implementing both EU programmes on behalf of the relevant Austrian ministries and the European Commission. Loco Motion Foundation partners with the OeAD to align its own international mobility tracks with these frameworks.
